Cell Group

From May 4th - 6th Cedll Group met for the 26th year. We are a group of Anglican and Methodist Clergy who trained together at Queens College Birmingham from 1982 - 1984 (some until 1985). Queens College is the only truly ecumenical college in the country. Towards the end of our journey together which was quite tough 9 of us decided that we would meet together every year and send a Christmas letter every year. It is now 26 years later and 6 of us still meet. Where did the other three go ? Well one unfortunately was an alcoholic and being an Anglican he didn't tell the first Parish that he was stationed in which was in Southampton and started draining the communion wine and receiving drinks from his parishioners. One thing led to another and eventually he was forced out of the church. (We have lost contact with him...he was and is still welcome at Cell Group ...his name is Revd Andy Anderson and if anyone knows where he is will they please let me know at revwfairhurst@live.co.uk). Another was and is still a Methodist Minister but he wasn't happy with the way we treated his theological stance which we are in our maturity deeply ashamed of so he left us.... the third to leave went into Education and so can't get the time off to come to the group. I have attched a pic of us this year when we went to stay at St Deniol's Library (Gladstone's Library in Hawarden).
